A freelance writer and book editor, Jeff Campbell’s first non-fiction book for young adults was the award-winning Daisy to the Rescue (Zest Books, October 2014), about animals saving human lives and the science of animal intelligence. Daisy to the Rescue won the 2015 Independent Publisher Book Award National Gold Medal in the “Animals/Pets” category and the 2014 INDIEFAB Book of the Year Bronze Award in Young Adult Nonfiction. Also written for young adults, Last of the Giants highlights conservation by exploring extinct and endangered giant species, and it is a 2016 Junior Library Guild selection. In a previous life, Jeff was a travel writer for Lonely Planet for twelve years, covering US destinations like Hawaii, California, the Southwest, and Florida. Jeff also teaches creative writing to kids with the Writers Circle, and he lives in Morristown, New Jersey.
