Over the last two and a half decades, Tony Abbott has written one hundred books of mystery, fantasy, and adventure for young readers aged 6 to 14, including Kringle, Underworlds, and the long-running series, The Secrets of Droon. He is also author of the realistic novels Firegirl (2006 Golden Kite Award for Fiction), The Postcard (2008 Edgar Award for Best Juvenile Mystery), and the civil-rights drama, Lunch-Box Dream, appearing from FSG. The scientific thriller saga, The Copernicus Legacy, with its companion series, The Copernicus Archives, launched in 2014 from HarperCollins. Tony has been on the faculty of Lesley University’s MFA in Creative Writing, is a frequent conference speaker and visitor to schools, and presents workshops to creative writers of all ages.
